The Grove – I Am Devine Personal Training Tunbridge Wells

Have you ever heard of a desire path?

A desire path is usually a pathway worn down by human or animal traffic contrary to the walkway planned by the designer.

Often it represents the quickest most efficient pathway through a particular environment.

The architect meant well and the problems with the design only come to light when theory meets reality.

Reality has a habit of wrecking well meaning plans…

Take your well meaning fitness regime for instance.

You’ve probably been told that you need to have evidence based training plan coupled with optimal dietary regime in order to make progress.

Becoming embroiled in the minutae the bigger picture is obscured and eventually you lose patience with being ‘perfect’

Weeks, months and perhaps even years pass before you attempt to do it all again.

Sadly though, many people may never climb back on that wagon.

Because they know just what it involves, tedious minutae and frustrating rules that are impossible to follow.

Surely there has to be a more sensible route through all of this chaos.

A desire path perhaps?

Well, ok yes there is.

A mediocre training programme trumps the perfect one you never complete.

Taking action consistently with less than perfect nutrition will outrun the optimal diet plan that gets tossed after the first week.

Now here’s what makes a real difference.

Working on your mindset and how you treat yourself. Does the best version of you gorge on booze and burgers?

And finally or perhaps the first thing you should look at is the environment that helped create the current version of you.

Is it congruent with your hopes and dreams?

Not just your physical environment but your emotional one too.

Removing any and all obstacles that may prevent you from reaching your goals.

If you’d like to discuss this further or you have any thoughts you’d like to share please hit reply and let me know.

To your success.
